Migration and Cost Support

Trial Balance

best via CSV Import (one-time effort)

Open Positions (OPOS)

best via CSV Import (depending on Entity Master data import)

Entity Master Data

•    Chart of Accounts
•    Customers
•    Suppliers
•    Employees
•    other Entities
•    Items/Articles/SKUs

extensive predefined migration templates with details prepared, which Cloudmaven walks the customer through during the Scoping Sessions.

Financial History

Options:

  • Periodical Balances as Movements (1 day to 1 week)

  • Periodical Balances as Reversals (not recommended)Individual Financial Transactions as Journals (1 - 5weeks per financial year)

  • Individual Financial Transactions with correct Transaction Types (weeks to months for financial years)

NetSuite being a continuous financial ledger (not like DATEV) and transactions stacking on top of each other, the migration of individual financial transactions is extensive: an invoice needs to have a customer associated and a payment record applied to be closed and no longer revaluated in FX revaluations.

Contract History

  • manual migration via CSV templates

Challenge: correct reflection of upsells, downsells and ripoffs

  • automatic migration via _oro_3150_arr contract manager (for Salesforce for example)

Significant integration effort, but compensated as Sales Orders, Invoices, Revenue Arrangements, etc. are created automatically.

Cost

Included in the SOW, approximate 5 to 12 mandays (without individual Financial Transactions)

Significant opportunity costs on Financial Team side for exporting and adjusting the data to the migration templates (see sample screenshot above).

Migration

  • Only for new customers and then bring over existing customers?

(see Contract History above, preferred strategy for Subscription Contracts is automation.)
